A central theme of this workshop will be learning how to safely mobilize inherently stable structures in the body such as the upper back, while strengthening vulnerable structures such as the lower back and neck to prevent injury. This intensive is an essential investment for Yoga students and teachers wanting to either heal or prevent hypermobility which can be a common cause of chronic pain and injury. It is also suitable for anyone with at least one year of consistent Yoga experience up to teacher level.
We will also investigate how we can elevate the practice of asana to a new level by drawing the mind into a deep state of focused relaxation. The afternoon sessions will incorporate the practice of sitting meditation, restoratives and the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra as a way of finding stability within the heart and mind. There will also be time for philosophical discussion and questions each day.
Free Clinic
This session is being made available free of charge by Donna for all those attending the Cohesion Workshop. The Cohesion Workshop is a follow up to the Spinal Integration Workshop held last year. If you have not attended the Spinal Integration Workshop previously this free session is for you! Donna will offer information about the sacro-iliac joint particularly regarding how the hip, pelvis and lower back function in standing postures. This free session will give a good jump start into the Cohesion Workshop, because whilst this information is covered in the sessions, it is not in so much detail. If you would like to attend the free clinic make a note on your registration form or let Samadhi staff know when booking at the studio. We have a limited capacity for this free clinic so don't miss out.
