Cultivating Mindfulness A Yin Yoga workshop to refresh and regenerate the body’s store of prana (energy) With Sarah Owen Friday 5th September 6-8pm $20
Join Sarah for a workshop that will be rejuvenating for the body’s level of prana (energy), whilst also developing the mind’s ability to stay in the present moment by cultivating mindfulness.
Yin Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation are integral parts of ‘Insight Yoga’ - a method of yoga developed by Sarah Powers (USA), which interweaves the teachings of Yoga and Buddhism. Yin Yoga can help to create ‘space’ in our practice to observe our thoughts and emotional patterns. It targets the energy channels that run through the centre of the body, assisting the joint areas of the body and aiding in the development of a strong immune system.
The workshop will include a Yin session to target the kidney and liver meridians, guided mindfulness meditation practice, as well as Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to help ensure that you experience Savasana deeply - this deep relaxation and regeneration is the key to Yin Yoga.
Sarah Owen (pictured here with Sarah Powers) has just returned inspired and enthusiastic from a Yin Yoga Teacher Training intensive in California with Sarah Powers, developer of Insight Yoga, an integral practice including yin yoga, yang yoga (vinyasa) and insight meditation. Here Sarah Owen deepened her knowledge of techniques to cultivate mindfulness as well as the practice of yin and yang yoga.
Booking is essential for this workshop as there is limited space, please call (02) 9517 3280 or email info@samadhiyoga.com.au
